Swine Flu Prevention and Treatment

by Michael on May 12, 2009

Swine Flu Prevention:

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
  • Wash you hands frequently with soap and water for at least 15-20 seconds, especially after you sneeze. Alcohol based hand cleaners are also effective.
  • Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth as germs spread this way.
  • Stay home if you are sick or until you have been symptom free for at least 24 hours.

Note: Currently there is no vaccine to help protect against this new virus.

Swine Flu Treatment
Virals: Tamiflu and Relenza – both known to treat and prevent infections
Palliative Care: Maintaining fluid balance and controlling fevers, at the care of home or hospital.

Most people don’t need virals as Swine Flu isn’t that deadly, but they can be effective.

We have thought of covering our nose lately but it just seems to drastically so we just follow other procedures.

Yeah, just don’t touch your nose and wash your hands currently!

Also there is currently very little data on how easy it is to transmit through air.

It is best to stock up on things now so that in the future if you do get it (god forbid) you will have the essentials and you will not be spreading it to others.
Ginger ale
Advil Tylonal
Chicken Soup
Neo Citron
alchoal based sanitizer
and comfort foods

if you do have it dont panic. It may be very servere once you have it but fight through it and relax, theres many people who have survived and many people who havent died. If u have a cold or any other flu STAY HOME. your immune system is weak and this will make u more vunerable to getting H1N1.
