If your child or children are sick with a caugh , runny nose ect , you should take them to the nearest doctor right away. The H1N1 flu is very bad you could can get it anywhere . That is why I take baby whipes with me anywhere .

Listen, if your child has a fever of 103, and is lethargic… TAKE THE CHILD IN. At least get it checked out.

manishadubey, my daughter woke up with the same symptoms. I gave her some Tylenol and kept down the fever, for now. We will see what happens. She has no other symptoms of swine flu. I had a mild flu Wed-Fri so hopefully she just got the mild flu. She is 5. Good luck to you.

My daughter started feeling poorly with a cold and cough last Sunday – she was appearing better by the Tuesday. Then, Wednesday night fever started up again and has remained the same. She has terrible diorreah and has not get up and go. I don’t know what to do. Am alternating Parecetemol and Ibroprofen every two hours to keep fever down. She has no appetite for nearly 4 days now. If i take her to the doctors will they make her have an injection which i am not happy about or do i sit at home with her and see it through ?

To Erikka on 9/9/09: my family is sick, just surfing websites for swine flu symptoms and happened to come across your question. I’m not a dr., just a mom, but your question worried me. Flu-like symptoms are also an indicator of other non-flu illnesses that can be confirmed by a blood test. Not to worry you, but a friend’s daughter was just diagnosed w/Leukemia. Her dr. says it can start with flu-like symptoms. Surely your dr has ruled out this possibility.

Katrina—go back to the ER and refuse to leave until they test them for the swine flu. Does your state have any type of children’s health care like child health plus?
